The benefits of owning a dog

Dr Deborah Wells, a psychologist from Queen's University, Belfast, said dog owners tended to have lower blood pressure and cholesterol. Her research suggested that dog ownership produced more positive influence than cat ownership.

As well as lower blood pressure and cholesterol, she said dog-owners suffered fewer minor ailments and serious medical problems.

There was also the suggestion that dogs could aid recovery from serious illnesses such as heart attacks, and act as 'early warning' to detect an approaching epileptic seizure.

Which Breeds do you stock?

The puppies we sell in our store are a selection of the smaller puppy breeds that are currently available from the breeders we buy from and trust. There are many hundreds of different breeds of puppies so we try to listen to our customers and stock the most popular puppies. For a small deposit, we can also special order a particular breed if it's available from one of our selected breeders. The most popular puppies at the moment are Poodle, Teddy Bear, Yorkshire Terrier, Maltese, Chihuahua, Beagle, Pomeranian and Shihi-Tzu and we also like to showcase some of the more unusual breeds such as the Japanese Chin.

What Guarantee do I have?

All of our puppies have health certificates and are current on their shots. Most of them come with a full pedigree.

Puppy Town puppies are all sold with a warranty per Florida Law. Florida Statutes 828.29(6),

Why should I buy from Puppy Town?

You can come into the store and have a play with the puppies and see that they are fit and healthy. You will see that all of our puppies are alert and active just like puppies should be. We also keep each puppy in individual roofed cages so that they can't jump out and hurt themselves and they don't cross-infect if any of them gets sick. This also prepares them well for their new owner as they don't get too attached to the other puppies.

Because we care about the health of our puppies, our staff will ask you not to touch the puppies unless you have used one of our hand sanitizers. Puppies are like babies and it takes them time to build up their immunity so we do everything we can to prevent them from catching any germs. Remember, it's humans that give puppies germs, not the other way round!

You can ask our helpful staff any questions you like to help you make a decision on which puppy to buy and we will still be here after you have taken your puppy home.
